We respect privacy rights under laws like GDPR/UK-GDPR and U.S. state laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, Colorado, Virginia). This page explains how to exercise them.
Who are you in this context?
- For our customers (the businesses using Bot On Site), we are a processor/service provider.
- For visitors on botonsite.com and for customer account data (e.g., billing contact), we are a controller.
If you interacted with a bot on a customer's website, please contact that business first—they control the data and can forward us a request if needed.
Your rights (depending on your region)
- Access/Know – what data we hold about you.
- Correction – fix inaccurate data.
- Deletion – request deletion of your personal data.
- Portability – receive a copy in a portable format.
- Restriction/Objection – limit certain processing.
- Opt-out – of "sale"/"sharing\" of personal information (we do not sell your data). ) )
- Marketing opt-out – unsubscribe at any time.
We do not use your data to train public AI models.
How to submit a request
Email support@botonsite.com with the subject "Privacy Request" and include:
- Your full name and the email address you used with us
- The type of request (Access / Correction / Deletion / Portability / Restriction / Opt-out)
- Whether your request relates to: botonsite.com account/usage OR a conversation with a customer's website bot (include the site if known)
You may also write to our mailing address (available on request). Authorized agents (e.g., under CCPA) should include proof of authority.
Verification
We may ask you to verify your email or provide limited information to confirm identity. If we cannot verify the request, we will explain why.
Timeline
- GDPR/UK-GDPR: within 30 days (extendable by 2 months for complex requests; we'll ) inform you). )
- CCPA/CPRA: within 45 days (extendable by 45 more days with notice).
Requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive may be refused or subject to a reasonable fee as permitted by law.
Appeals & complaints
If you disagree with our response, reply to request an appeal. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
